Does cardio effect muscle growth?!

Question: I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, with each session lasting about 2 hours.
I do 15 mins on exercise bike, 10-15 mins on treadmill, and 1000 meters on rowing machine. Then I work on a specific muscle group (arms and back or legs and abs etc, depending on the day).

I also take whey protein and glutamine and have a healthy diet of carbs and protein.

I have been doing this for about 8 months and Im gradually starting to see some definition. But would i be gettin better results (bulk up faster) if i cut back on cardio?

Thanks. Much appreciated.

For bulk: yes you would gain more mass faster without the cardio.

Including cardio stretches your body a little thin. It also takes up more calories and resources to keep that cardio pace going. As such your body will not have as much to work with on muscle development as it would without cardio.

There is a difference, mind you, between warming up and doing the 45 minutes, give or take, of the cardio that you are doing. A warm up should be a brisk small bit of cardio, not enough to break a sweat, but to get your body working, and the veins open.

Good luck.

You can cut back on cardio and/or increase your calorie intake. An easy way to increase intake without the effort of extra meals is to drink 1-2 meal replacement protein shakes especially straight after your workout. Try http://www.bestbodyco.com/details/shopLB...
& GOOD LUCK!
