I really dont understand this?!


Question: I have friends that eat skittles and redbull all day, seriously, like 3-5 thousand calories a day, and they are still skinny. they dont workout or run or anything. and its kind of annoying becasue i run for 30 min 4 times per week, lift all the time AND restrict what i eat to 1500-2000 cals/day and I have trouble with my wieght.

How much you weigh depends not only on how much goes into your mouth but also how fast it leaves your body.

How often do you go to the restroom to poop? Are you going 1-2 a day, or less than that. If less then your body has more time to extract nutrients from the food. In that case look for things in your diet to speed up the process.

For example M&Ms have lactose in them, which acts as a mild laxative for most people. As a result the person will eat a lot but also poop it out quicker.

Also please keep in mind that working out converts food into muscle mass, so you won't always lose weight by exercising. Additionally exercising has the side effect that you are more hungry afterwards and may eat more as a result.

Make sure that your diet has plenty of fiber, for example when you eat a steak or hamburger, also eat french fries, salad, or potatoes otherwise the food will stay longer inside your body.

don't you hate genetics?

they have good metabolism, prob because of genetics or age. When they get older it'll catch up to 'em. Most people encounter weight trouble at some time in their lives...don't think they're immune.

Genetics! My brother is the same way. He can eat whatever he wants and he's SO skinny. I have to watch what I eat and I have to excercise all the time but Im still 5 times bigger than he is! BUT it will catch up eventually!

Are your friends younger than you.. Also maybe their metabolism is just faster than yours.

Also....They may be taking diet pill on the sneak...People are so secretive..you never know what they are really doing behind closed doors.

Everyone is not meant to be skinny..As long as you are working out and eating right..You will probably live longer than someone that is only eating skittles all day and red bulls and taking diet pills behind closed doors.

Don't beat yourself up.

That's the same thing I go through. Genetics can be kinda annoying right? It just pisses me off lol. No matter how hard I try, I just can't be thin. And some people could eat a cow and still show their ribs.

genetics and cause they are completely empty calories. They provide no nutrition to the body so its just sugars. Sugar will burn off pretty quickly. Its not so much how many calories you take in, but its about what kind of calories you take in.
