What's a good razor for a guy with a lot of stubble and sensitive skin?!

Question: My boyfriend turns 19 on the 23rd and I want to get him a decent razor. He uses disposables that really irritate his neck and he can never get a complete shave. (He only needs to shave his neck, he has a nice sexy short beard.)

He's Russian, Italian, and Jewish, meaning that his facial hair is thick, coarse, and grows insanely fast. So he'll need something that will last a while and will give him a close shave without taking half the skin off.

He doesn't necessarily need to shave every day.

Mach 3 turbo by Gillete, it has 3 blades and it gives a close shave without the irritation

this might sound horrible and mean, but maybe a girls one, they are designed for sensitive skin, but maybe they cant cope with beard hair. you will have to see.

Get him Gillette and some good shaving cream.

Try the fusion razor! My boyfriend has the same problem. Also, aveeno makes shave cream. Try that too! :)

My son did a lot of research on it and decided that a straight edge was the best razor. However they're expensive and you have to be careful when you shave with them. It takes a real commitment to use them though.

try pre shave oil, it works a treat, good disposable razors are fine.

the new gillette razor that has 5 blades and a vibrator with sensitive skin cream works great on my legs and under arms

If he gets serious irritation and bumbs from using a razor, I gaurantee any razor will cause this to happen...

The cause is most likely because the hairs in his skin grow in many different directions, and the stroke of the razor causes in-grown hairs where the hair opposes the blade most... Best bet for using a razor, keep the cream very wet, and apply just one stroke with the blade without pressing firmly on the skin.

If it does'nt work still, just use a hair clipper at a very low height setting. He will always have the day-after shave look, but it wont cut close enough to create in-grown hairs or irritation.

Or if you wanna be drastic like I was, I got laser hair removal and now the skin on my neck is soft like a baby and I dont have to shave a bit.

don't get him a chick one cause it won't work

dont get the fusion cause it will irritate the hell out of him

the best one is the mach 3, hands down

hey,

me mum gets me gillette mach3 turbo blades.......

.........its got a lubricatin - antifriction - strip!!!!! lol

i wish i didn't need to shave, but luckily dont hav 2 do every day .

sometimes bit stubble does make me look kinda more a rebel ;-)
