Is it normal for a 38 year old man to masturbate every day and could it cause th!

Question: My boyfriend had been without the sexual companionship of a woman for a long time and masturbated daily. He still masturbates daily and when we get together, which is only on the weekends, he cannot have an orgasm with vaginal sex. Is it normal for a 38 year old man to masturbate daily and could this be the reason he can't have an orgasm with me?

Every day is a bit much for someone who is 38 but I would find 4 times a week to be normal. It is very likely the reason he cannot finish in a normal vaginal encounter because of the vast difference between stimulation levels between his hand and your equipment.

Yes, at least, it's happening to your boyfriend. Clinically, he seems being obsessive with the orgasm. In fact, any overindulgence or obsession in life will always produce some negative impacts. For better understanding and potential solution, please consult an ethical, confident medical professional.

Could be. The body gets use to certain things, ditto the brain. But you can untrain him. So do a lot of work. Let him watch you and so do this for yourself. He can follow along. When he has an erection then do the deed. He will adjust. There is nothing like real p.....!

yes and yes and if he stopped eventuially he could *** at just the idia of sex even with me.

it could be..its easy to get used to the greater friction using your hand..if he could lay off for a while it'd probably work...i don't think its abnormal to get off every day..but then again i guess we're all different...

he might be suffering from a terrible diagnosis called hornypox

he shouldn't be jerking off daily. that is not normal if he has you.

It's likely the reason he can't orgasm with you. His body is just not used to it. As for normal it's a little much.

I was in the same scenario. I'm 30 BTW. I also took SSRI's which doesn't help. my GF at the time couldn't handle me not getting off and wouldn't wait to work anything out with me. I got dumped because of this. Really hurt my self esteem. Now if I masturbate I use minimal pressure and wear a condom to furhter decrease sensitivity so hopefully I will untrain my sensation to the brain. Be patient and work with him.

It is pretty normal for a male of any age to masturbate daily (though to a certain extent this is quite disfuntional, average is around 2-4 times per week).

The inability to orgasm possibly has quite a bit to do with the desensitisation of the head of the penis. Like anything, if you do it too much, you become desensitised to its effects. Obviously a habit has formed and it will be quite hard for him to break it.

The only thing I can even think of to suggest it to supplement it with something else.

Personally, I think "boyfriend" has a problem. If he cannot have an orgasm unless he masturbates, what the hell is he thinking about? Obviously it is not you. He doesn't want a real woman, he wants his peculiar fantasy. I would not be surprised if that fantasy included another man.
It certainly is not "normal" for a 38 year old heterosexual male to masturbate daily, and certainly not when a willing woman is available. Nor is it normal for that same "man" to be unable to experience orgasm with a woman.
I see no physical problem, but there is a very likely social and/or sexual difficulty.
