Im 29 and been smoking 4 14 years i hav decided 2 giv up, do u think the damage !

Question: Albeit, smoking can be bad for your health. There are many other factors that can cause health problems. A major factor would be stress, whether it's work related, family related or otherwise. In this "modern" age people go to a job they hate because they need the money to pay the everyday bills, not being home to raise their children because both parents need to go out to work to pay child minding fees and when they do get home they are too tired to give their children quality time. You don't see any government warnings to say, "Give up work to look after your children because it can seriously damage your health and your childrens", do you?
In my opinion to relieve stress and stress related problems I suggest give time to yourself and family, drink moderately and have the odd "smoke" Don't be brainwashed by our "Big Brother" government. Chill out. I can see you are worried about your health as it is. That's another killer. Worry.
Live one day at a time that's all anyone has got and enjoy it to the full. If you do that you will live to a ripe old age.

Of course, but further damage will be prevented if you stop now. Good luck with giving up.

Yes the damage has been done, but good news, the moment you stop smoking the moment your body can start repairing itself, it will never be the way it was before you started smoking and you still have an increased risk of cancer but it's not as bad as it would have been if you carried on smoking. I read somewhere that after not-smoking for half a year almost half of the damage has been undone but I don't know if that's true or not.

Stopping now will limit further damage of which you have already caused....

In School when I was about 15, We did a test with a liver. Our teacher was putting smoke on it closely as if someone would be smoking. In less than 5 minutes the liver started to turn dark and acidy bubbles started popping. I would imagine 4 1/2 years of smoking has harmed you greatly, but it is never too late to stop.

No, it is never too late to quit!!! (unless you die first)

yes damage has been done so why dont you stop damaging yourself

nope im 43 and been smoking since i was 12 - gave up in november and feel loads better already - go for it if not your health do it for you pocket

It's never too late to quit.

Apparently the experts say the sooner you pack in the sooner the repair process begins (believe it or not)

Yes, the damage has been done...

Dont worry about what had done.................stop it now and save your future.

course, by golly, you probably have lung cancer

sry u are screwed

your bad
u wont be able to quit but have fun trying

You will have done some damage but it is NEVER too late to stop.

You will go thru lots of changes to your body - 24 - 36 hours and all the nicotine will be out of your system - food will taste better - drinks taste better.

Within a week your body will start to return to normal - you feel more energetic and won't be out of breath climbing stairs and the like.

The first day is the hardest - but don't stop giving up - get patches if you need to - cold turkey is hard as the craving becomes awful.

Not at all but the sooner you give up the better.
Only 20 minutes after your last cigarette, your blood pressure and heart rate return to normal, and the circulation to your fingers and toes improves. Eight hours later, the carbon monoxide is gone from your body, and your oxygen level returns to normal. One day after your last cigarette, your chance of having a heart attack begins to decrease. Two days after quitting your sense of smell and taste begin to improve.

Over the next few weeks you
