Fitness question for men?!

Question: How many of you can actually see your abs? What is your body fat percentage? and Do you have a steady workout plan?

You start to see abdominal muscles once your bf% gets around 12% for most people. But for them to really pop out you need to get it 10% or under. Also for some people no matter how low they get their bf% they may never "see" their abdominals due to how their muscle separation is.

Rather than focus on a percentage, what is a better measure is obviously the mirror & your committment to expending enough energy to burn the fat around the belly. You can still do your ab workout but it's more important to remove the fat so the abs can show! I would suggest eating 5-6 lean meals a day & some sort of fitness training (run, swim, play a sport) 2-3 times a week but with the goal of getting your heart rate up to the recommended target zone for your age for 20-30 minutes. You can measure this by using a heart rate monitor - these are great since I found you don't have to run, swim, etc as hard as you might think once your body gets going. Don't forget a good multivitamin & if you have trouble eating so many meals, try a meal replacement like a protein shake: it's quick & easy when you are on the go. GOOD LUCK!

For some odd reason, I can see a rough outline of them in the shower, probably becuase my stomach hair gets flattened. Im not sure my body fat percentage but its over 10% which is the required amount to have visbile abs.
Yes, I have a workout but Im not a fanatic, I run or bike ride one day (or both) & do a bodyweight workout every other day in front of the tv.

I workout my abs every other day. 3x a week. Been doing it the past month or so. I can see my abs, just not as defined as I would like. My body fat percentage is 13.6% measured this morning.

I bought a scale from Target a couple months ago, it measures weight, body fat, and body water percentage. All I care about is my body fat. It has sensors on where you stand and it sends electrical signals (you don't feel a thing) through your feet to measure the thickness of fat there. Its extremely accurate! I spent about $40

Don't bother with those fat pinch things, it said I was 3% body fat. I'm not!
