Is Dr Frank around, or any other GP?!
Question: Hubby noticed a 5p sized lump in his armpit last night. It's not sore but it a bit red. Not noticed it before so it seems to have come up overnight - could it be a swollen gland or cyst? Gonna get him to his GP tomorrow but would just like your opinion.

Don't listen to what we say, you need a doctors opinion but If its under the armpit that is where lymph nodes are and it could be something or nothing. I had one on my neck for a year and after scan was told it was an inflamed lymph node and needle biopsy was done for cancer and came back inconclusive and doc wanted to operate to remove it but decided on a scan again and scan should it had gone - dont know what it was but had the year from hell for nothing.
I'm no doctor choclover but i had the same thing once and it was due to an infected hair follicle.
It could be an infected sweatgland. (I'm not a doctor either, just trying to make a helpful suggestion)
Dont see Dr. Frank as often as we used to, do we? He must have got a life - unlike the rest of us!!
take him straight to the doctors
Well im not a gp im a GF. it could be one of the two. but not a swollen gland. its inflammation swelled up in to a "bump".
