Workout routine question?!

Question: Is it good to do cardio and strength training in the same day or should you switch days?

Answers: Is it good to do cardio and strength training in the same day or should you switch days?

This really depends upon your goal... What are you training for? if you are looking to be a power lifter you just do lifting and very little cardio if any. If you are wanting to be a marathon runner you do a ton of cardio and very little lifting.
I assume you're probably looking simply for a fitness/aesthetic type routine... In which case those in the body building field typically lift first then do cardio afterwards becuase after lifting you're blood sugar levels are lowered and that makes you more likely to burn fat sooner, as opposed to burning up all your sugar (the only fuel you have for lifting) and then trying to lift.

To summarize: Lifting first then do cardio, if you want to do them on different days thats fine too.

Sure, why not!

It is better if you switch days because both are totally different

nice balrog pic!

i did 3 days of hard cardio 45-60 min and 3 days of hard strength training just make sure ur getting 10-15 min of cardio befor u lift keep that hart rate up ull see the differance

It's fine, but if you do it in the same session.. do the strength training first.

This workout I've been doing lately is the bomb. I just do two min. of strength then 2 min. of Carb on and off like 10 to 12 times. I move through different strength and carb exercises each time. After the 5th set I take a 2 min. break and then back to it. It's all about intensity, and how many reps you can get (burn out) not the heavy weight. Will rip you up but not the best for bulking.

I do cardio training everyay and I do strenght training every other day.

its better to alternate cardio and strength training days.

however, this might not be feasible/time efficent.
the next best alternative is cardio after your weight session. the muscle loss reports have been greatly exaggerated, and are not significant. just remember your post-workout drink after that. simple carbs, and a fast acting protein such as whey
