Swollen vein in penis?!
Question: there seems to be a swollen vein throughout my penis, it hurt for 2 days and then the pain seemed to go away, at the bottom of my shaft there is a thick vein that hurts alot when touched..i am very curious to what this could be

That vein is called the dorsal vein and it generally runs the length of the penis. Pain in that area is often caused from some kind of trauma such as vigorous thrusting during intercourse and causing your penis to bend at an abnormal angle. The best thing you can do is to visit a Urologist to be sure that is what it is. You didn't mention as to whether or not you are urinating frequently...if you are that could be a sign of prostatitis which is a very serious medical problem and must be treated accordingly. I am not a Doctor and you need to see a physician as soon as you can to rule out any serious issue....I hope you feel better soon.
i am a male, I do have vines on my penis,and they can be noticed during erection but it does not pain as you say.

I also have a very large vein that runs only half way up my penis now, but, it is because I had very severe trauma to my penis when I was young.........I actually bent my penis in half and this vein burst from the pressure and talk about pain for months afterwards........when my body finally healed this part of me it routed a new vein in its place to the end of my penis........
I have been watched very closely by doctors since that time........everything seems to be okay now and has been for many years now............
