The medication drug ur uncle takes is DUROMINE. Its is pretty much a perscribed and legal form of speed. YOU SHOULD ONLY TAKE IT IF YOU ARE REALLLLLLLYYY FAT. It is used to treat obease people. It acts as a hunger suppresant and raises your heart rate , metabolism and energy levels......making you loose weight. It has some side effects on people but what happened to ur uncle is rare. I'll give you some advise. I was on Dromine and i didnt need it.... i was skinny enough and needed the rush. DONT TAKE IT UNLESS YOU ARE OBEASE!!.

NO

its not safe at all. even if given under the care of your doctor (highly unlikely, since its been banned for awhile now) you still run the risk of a heart attack. Ephedrine is, quite literally, herbal "speed"..which can kill. Just eat sensibly, and get in some good exercise and you will drop the weight. It takes longer, but its 100% safe that way..and the weight will STAY off (which is what you want, trust me)

Ephedrine is one of the active ingredients in Sudaphed, it is also one of the components of Methamphetamine. If an individual is taking certain antidepressants such as Prozac and other SSRIs (Seratonin Specific Reuptake Inhibitors) and they ingest Ephedrine even via Sudafed they have been known to suffer strokes as a resultant interaction of the two drugs. This happened to me, At the age of 41 I suffered 3 massive strokes and it was determined that this was the only possible cause. In my opinion, Sudafed is an extremely dangerous drug that should not be available at all. Its benefits do not outweigh the risks it presents to public health and safety.
