How can I go from skinny to muscular in a short amount of time?!


Question: I'm 5'9 and weigh 125 pounds. I'm 14 and play really no sports but I do skateboard and ride bike a lot like every day. How can I become more muscular in a short period of time?

What you want to do is invest in some whey protein and a gym membership. If access to gym and wieghts is totally out of the question you need to do ALOT of pushups and tricep dips. You need to be taking in about 1g of protein per lb of body weight daily. Also, healthy carbs and fruit will help your body grow. You can try creatine and see if you get results, from my experience with it it kind of seems like some people see results others don't. If you can get some kind of acess to a gym of a weight set you need to do bench or dumbbell press, bicep curls, tricep extensions, military presses, shrugs, and squats. There are alot of other exercies you can do, but those are the most basic and effective. Work out three times a week for about 45-90 minutes a day (or however long it takes to get a good workout). Do three sets of eight reps for every workout or lift until failure. The key to building muscle fast is doing low reps with high weight. You get more size faster with freeweights. If you're going to use freeweights, use correct form, have a spotter, and don't push yourself too hard.
