I knew someone who had his shaved down because it was very prominent. You wouldn't want to remove it completely because it does have a function in how your voice sounds, but shaving it down for cosmetic reasons is a common procedure.
i had an apple. i named it adam. but then all of my friends thought i was making a biblical reference. i threw adam away. i still regret loosing my best friend.

I don't think you want to guys are suppose to have it.
Why would you want to remove it? An Adam's apple shows that you've matured in puberty and that your voice has dropped. You're going to look very weird when everyone around you has one and you don't. As far as I know, you can't have your Adam's apple removed. Just live with it, it's there for a reason. =D
