How long after a vasectomy , can you get pregnant?!

Question: Hello,
My husband had a vasectomy in Oct. so about 5 months ago,
No he didn't get checked but we haven't used anything from jump, kinda saying if it happens it happens right, no biggie

BUT its been 5 months and i thought by this time it should be all clear,

So this month NO PERIOD, How many of you men have vasectomy babies, and when and how long after did this occur?

Please advise

( please no fresh comments)

it should have worked. he should see a doctor to make sure if it did or not. how late on you? you might not be pregnant so don't get too worried. but do take a test.

My neighbor has a little brother. He was born 7 years after the vasectomy that their father had.

He really should really be checked to make sure the vasectomy worked. My brother-in-law had one and it didn't take. The second one didn't take. The third one finally took, but it took three tries, so it's not a guarantee they all work.

Your doctor should have told you the proper procedure after a vasectomy.

Once the man is healed (which takes anywhere from three days to a week) and free from pain, he needs to start masturbating and ejaculating. He must do this at least 20 times (no joke) to "clear the channels." He must then go BACK to the doctor, jack off in a cup and have them test the sample for active sperm. If he still has even 3% of active sperm, he must continue to masturbate at home for another 10-15 times and then return to the doctor's office for another test. Once the doctor's test shows zero active sperm, he is typically "fixed."

There is no reason after five months IF YOU FOLLOWED THE PROPER POST-SURGERY PROCEDURE why you'd be pregnant. Most doctors who perform this surgery carry massive insurance against a pregnancy happening after a vasectomy. That's nothing to joke about. I know doctors who do this procedure and who are 100% successful in what they do. THEY HAVE TO BE. Their *** is on the line.

You don't mention your age. If you are spotting or "kind of" having a period, you may be peri-menopausal. Irregular periods can start as early as 35 years old. Breast tenderness indicates that your estrogen levels are high and you are likely to get a period soon. You could also be what is called 'ESTROGEN DOMINANT" which means you are shifting into peri-menopause and should consider topical use of progesterone cream and avoid any and all estrogens that can complicate your body's health.

Google "Estrogen Dominance" and "Natural Progesterone for peri-menopause" and you'll find lots of good info out there.

You could be pregnant. They say to wait at least 6 months before having sex after a vasectomy, just because some live ones could be coming thru.
Take a prengancy test with your first morning urine. It sounds like you could be pregnant. You also might be late from stress of thinking you might be pregnant. Just take a test to be sure. If you are not then I would have him go back in to get tested just to make sure that you are all clear to have sex with no protection.
