My husband is 75 and?!
Question: he has been getting bright red stools for the past few days. He had tests done last yr and nothing was wrong. He has been through alot of stress lately. Could it be stress again?

Hemmorhoids... definately. Thats why the blood is red because its coming from burst blood vessels near the anus. If it were black that means it has dried and bleeding occured in the liver or intestines higher up in the digestive system which is cause for alarm. Your average case of hemmorhoids, which is common at this age.
At 75 it could be any number of things. He needs to see his doctor.
Is he constipated? Stress can cause constipation, which can cause hemmorhoids, which can cause bloody stools. Because the blood is bright red, the bleeding is occuring lower in the GI tract. (Tarry stools indicate bleeding higher up and is usually more of a problem.)
it could be red dyes hes eating, but just in case bring to the doctor.
Have him go to the doctor that is not right.
hemorrhoids.....they usually go away on their own but I'd see a doctor still...his age's tender...
He's 75...and how old are you? I'm just wondering, because usually people make their avatar somewhat like what they look like...and your avater looks young :S
But anyway, I'm just gonna guess age is starting to take a toll on him. He should see a doctor about that.
