Why would a guy do this????!
Question: What would be the reason that a guy (he is 17 years old) would keep glancing at me in class but never talk to me?
also, whenever he sees me he just stares at me. but he doesn't talk to me and we only talked once last year for a project. this eyecontact stuff has been going on for OVER a year now.also when he looks at me i ignore the glance or pretend i don't see b/c i suck when it comes to guys. i really like him though.
also once when i was walking out of class and he saw me behind him he improved his posture and stood up straighter.would that be a sign he likes me or am i analyzing too much?
he is not shy with his friends he is really outgoing when he is around them and he asks lots of questions in class.
last week i was walking up a flight of outdoor stairs. there is a bench on the lower level that you can see when walking up the stairs. i looked down at the bench and there he was. he was biting his nails and looking directly at me. we held eyecontact for 2-3 seconds.

He stares at you because he likes you and/or is attracted to you.
The reason he hasn't talked is either because he's too shy or he's just afraid you don't like him and does not want to go through rejection. Shy comes in many forms. A guy can be outgoing and outspoken around other guys and people they don't like but some guys are just not good around girls they like, they freeze up, they don't know what to say, stuff like that.
If you like him, just go up and say hi and start talking to him. He'll be more than relieved because he'll know that you'll like him enough to start a conversation.
He could like you, I used to be like that where I would stare at a girl I like but never talk to her. Some guys can be the popular kid when they are around other males and be active in class but when it comes to girls they become the opposite. Why don't you go up and talk to him, try to get something started. He has got to be interested in you to look at you all the time. Good luck girl
He could like you. Do you like him is the question though? If you do like him, tell him you like him and then he might say he likes you back.
Don't think that just because he's popular he can't like you. It may very well be the case, but maybe he's just extremely shy. You may try writing him a simple note and place it on his desk before class to ask him his purpose of constant staring. Or, in the note, ask if he's interested in studying after school sometime or maybe going to a movie, etc.
I think he has a thing for you.
I recently had this in my class and we ended up sitting by eachother and talking. Turns out hes just shy at first...
Just try to sit by him more to find out if you ARE interested in him.

he problaly likes you when i stare at girls i mostly check them out does he look at you in the eyes everytime you see him does he et nervous if you like him approach him or do a sign to show him that you liker like a dazzling look, wink, wave, etc... give him a note.....if you dont like him tell him to stop it or try giving him a chance!!!!!!!
he probably likes you. for a guy to make a move (sometimes) they need to be sure that they won't be turned down and that the girl feels the same way. try to strike a conversation with him and flirt with him. he's get the hint, and if he doesn't he's just stupid.
