No, people were trying to prove it basically by saying the yellow dye and high caffeine count is harmful, but no, neither are, and this is just a widely known urban legend. Mountain Dew does not effect sperm count or ANYTHING else people say it does.
Response to other answer: No evidence except for the evidence proving the exact opposite (caffeine increases motility of sperm) has been proven. There is not a lot of evidence for this, I'm just trying to show how ridiculous it is to think that it will effect you negatively.
Thats sounds very unlikely, and if were true the makers of Mountain Dew would have been sued long ago, it's most likely very untrue.

I believe they are referring to the high caffeine content. High amounts of caffeine can reduce sperm count.

Not at all. Mountain Dew is a legal soft drink. if something like this existed they would have to tell you on the bottle and also they would have to change the formula otherwise people wouldn't buy it

Drink enough of it and it will make you fat. The extra fat will hide part of your penis and make the remainder more difficult to use to its full advantage because you will have a big gut in the way... so in that sense.... yes it decreases the size of the package you can effectively utilise.
As for sperm production.. this is related to testosterone levels. Increase amounts of fat increase oestrogen levels and induce higher cholesterol which blocks arteries leading to the penis which causes erectile dysfunction.
Man, that Mountain Dew has a lot to answer for.

Gaz has just educated me to the evils of Mountain Dew. I thought it through, and I believe he is right on. I'm glad I am a woman who only drinks Diet Pepsi! (Trying to kick the habit!)

It's not true so tell your man it's okay for him to drink it. The only thing is that it's high on caffeine and sugars so it's easier for him to get fat on it though if he drinks too much.
