Starting to shave at 14?!

Question: Well i've got alot of hair on my upper lip and lower, the chins alright not much there but still very very VERY noticeable!
I'm 14 and i already asked my mum and she said "NO!" but i hate it sooo much, my girlfriend said i'd look like a totally different person with out it, and way better than now!
Also any tips on shaving since i might considering doing it?
and i dont wanna ask my dad that would just be awkward!

Well it is your face and your mom's reluctance to let you shave is probably just her reluctance to letting you grow up (I have 2 teenage sons as well so I get it). I suggest you enlist your dad's help, you might be pleasantly surprised at his response, this is an exciting right of passage for both of you (at least that's how I view it). My oldest just started shaving and I think it is cool, he and his dad worked the whole thing out without my needing to be involved.
If you just can't bear to enlist dad's help then go to the pharmacy and buy some disposable razors and some shaving creme, get into the shower and clean up. Once you get out of the shower while your beard is still nice and soft from the shower lather up with the shaving creme and start shaving, rinsing the blade periodically in warm water. Once finished rinse your face with lukewarm water and if desired apply aftershave.

ask your dad, thats what i did
its what most people do

go ahead. most the guys at my school that are 14 and 15 shave.

..your mother said "No!"?

as if asking for a razor were a ridiculous question?
I would tell you to ask your father; as your mother is most likely clinically insane.

do it anyway.
once you do it theres not much ur mom can do.

Its fine to shave at your age cause some boys just mature faster than others. Its your choice if you want facial hair or not.
Tips-
*Use shaving cream. NOT soap! LOL
*Make sure you have a sharp razor, and dull one can irritate your skin
* Be careful and don't slice you whole face off! Take your time and be cautious of all the angles.
Good Luck and I hope I helped!

shave you... later
enjoy your 14

okay. of coarse i'm not a guy or anything. but If I were a guy i would say be careful. and not rush to shave it off. or else you might cut yourself. don't get one of those stupid shavers that are very dull and all that jazz. and I guess that's it. lol. I don't know.

ask your dad because he will show you the proper way of doing it

Yeah go to ur dad he'll know better.

aw! why wont she let you shave? maybe you'll need to speak with dad after all, its not such a big deal, he went through it too and maybe since he's male, he'll be more flexible.
if you really dont feel comfortable speaking with dad
speak with a friend who is growing like you, maybe he can help you with shaving advice, when i started growing hair on my legs my mom would not let me shave, I had to sneak a razor and just do it, no advise or anything, make sure you use shaving cream and shave against the grain, very carefully. good luck!

i started at 14 i didn't really ask anyone i just worked it out for myself it turned out pretty good.

I know these are really expensive, but when I was your age I got a Norelco electric razor. It don't cut your skin no matter how hard you actually try to, only hair.

In no time you will be watching tv or walking around the house... while shaving (well I was).

Ask for it for christmas or birthday.

Shave. Everyone (guys that is) has to shave at some point. Just use shaving cream and don't go too quick and cut yourself. Speak to your dad, it will be less awkward than your mom - your dad went through the same thing at some point in time. And if people say when you start shaving it grows back quicker - its a myth. It grows back quicker because you are going through puberty.

Good luck

hi when i was 14 i had hair on my upper lip and now i a 16 and still don't shave don't worry about
