What happens to you when you get testosterone injections?!


Question: I JUST found out that I have a testosterone deficiency which means I'll more than likely have to get testosterone injections (I have to go in for a couple more labs to be sure but the doc is pretty sure about the results). What sort of changes happen to you when you get injections? Will I sprout hair on my chest? Will my voice get deeper? Will my testicles swell to the size of grapefruits? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

dont listen to the others because they have no idea what they are talking about you have a testosterone deficiency you wouldnt get breasts, small penis(though your testies will get smaller because your body isnt producing the testosterone), mood swings, and get other secondary sex characteristics of a female unless you take more then what is prescribed by your doctor other then that you should be fine...all the hormones are doing is making sure that you keep your secondary male sex characteristics and if you have any other questions ask your doctor no matter how silly you think they may sound he/she would be glad to answer them....your going to be fine

    ONLY if you take alot more than you need, the level most bodybuilders pump steroid into their body.

    For you, If you take normal amounts, the results are only positive.
    Essentially, male characteristics will be enhanced in ways similar to other men related to you by blood. If the men in your family are hairy dudes, you will be, too. But if they're mostly slim and have tenor voices, don't expect WWE shoulders and a bass.

    Possible changes include body hair, voice deepening, musculature, larger genitalia, facial hair, maybe even male pattern baldness--all the traits you'd have developed on your own if your testosterone levels were normal.
    Jason D is on the right lines, you don't get testosterone injections that much, mostly it's GnRH (Gonadotrophic Reproductive Hormone - stimulates natural testosterone e.g more safe). I had a friend who was seriously late bloomer, (didn't start till he was 18), he ended up with a dick 12 inches long and hair everywhere. You could end being 'very' long indeed.


    BTW don't listen to the idiots who say GnRH are steroids. That's bullshit although too much causes other hormone level to decrease and thats when the 'bad' side effects start.
    From personal experience your energy level will increase. And your sexual libido (urges) might get stronger. Actually your testicles might shrink as did mine whilst taking the injections because your body no longer needs to produce testosterone on it's own. Your body shuts down production of testosterone causing your testicles to get noticeably smaller. Your penis might become a little bit larger and firmer as well. The side affects are limited and will be monitored by your physician.
    Sorry, but unless it's REALLY deficient, none of that will happen. You might experience a slight increase in libido, but that's about it. You don't say how much testosterone you're gonna get, so can't tell. Now, if it's a huge amount, then yes, you'll see some male secondary sex traits appear or improve.
