Actually most people's height is complete at about age 17.

Bone growth occurs in the epiphyseal plate (the bone on the right in this image) http://www.daviddarling.info/images/bone...

This plate (in your arms and legs) contains cartilage that slowly ossifies (is turned into bone); cartilage is produced continually, and turns continually into bone, until about the age of 17. After that age, the plate fuses into solid bone and you don't grow any taller!

Yes, some sources say age 17; some say age 21; some say age 25. The bottom line is that this plate "fuses" when your genetic programming causes it to fuse, and genetic programming is determined by heredity.

So there's no single correct Answer to this Question. If your boyfriend's parents, or grandparents, were over 6'1", he may still be growing!

you stop growing when you are 21 thats when the male body is fully muture and grow no more

Doctors will use age 23 as a cut-off. Some surgeries are best delayed until growth is finished.
