If I do 500 situps a day, how long will it take me to get a six pack?!


Question: I'm almost 16, 5ft 10, and about 135 ibs. and I eat a decently balanced diet. Ive been doing 500 situps a day for 5 or 6 days now, and i havent really seen any results. How long do you think it will take and is there anything else i can do?

Being a power lifter and former amateur bodybuilder I can tell you that most of these guys are wrong. Some may think they got a six pack by performing hundreds of sit ups, but they're wrong. In order for your abs to be visible you need to have a low body fat percentage. Some have to go lower than others but my eight pack doesn't completely show until I am under six percent body fat.

If you keep that up you'll probably have a really defined six pack in two months.

You have to run too, I ran 3 miles everyday for about 8 months and 250 crunches a day, and I had a 6-pack in about 2 weeks.

depends if your doing them properly, but it aint gunna happen over night mate, do other things as well not just sittups like pressups and crunches and weights, they also exercise your torso and stomach, so give em a go,
if u dont know what crunches are they are where you lie on your back like a sit up but pring your knees and your head up together and then back down again. they are very good the atomach

You haven't seen that many 16 year olds with 6 packs have you? There are many hormones that have to be released in your body before you can get a 6 pack. And those hormones are released with age. Try doing what you're doing when you're 20 and you'll have a 6 pack in a few months. Also, genetics play a big factor here. If your parents have really athletic figures, chances are you'll succeed getting your 6 pack. But if they're not, you'll have to work really hard to get it.

3 months if you never back down on it.Remember you do them from different angles as well.
