Porn is addictive becasue it stimulates your sexual desires, but the problem with it is because it stimulates it, but it's not a healthy way to do so because it's not real, you are not a part of the situation in a healthy way. Studies show that pornography does more harm than good (if there is any good that comes from it, which I don't think there is). Usually masturbation is paired with habitual viewing of pornography. You're best bet is to quit looking at porn. I know it sounds difficult but I've done it. I started when I was in my younger teens and I've now stopped at age 19, so it's tough but not impossible. I'll refer to mostly masterbating in my tips, but the same principles can help you stop with pornography. Here's a few of tips.

Keep busy - when you're busy doing homework, reading, any sort of constructive activity, it will help you keep your mind off of it. Don't put yourself in situations or around people who make you revert back to masterbating.

Exercise - start an exercise routine, it helps you release all that pressure and again, it keeps you busy. When I found it really hard to keep myself from doing it, I go for a run; this does miracles, because you stop yourself from doing it and you stay/get into shape.

If you masturbate when you're in bed - wear pajama pants or basketball shorts that make it hard for you to get your hand down there, and if you still try for it, as much as you don't want to, get out of bed and either walk around or do something.

If it's when you shower - don't linger in the shower (I'd take hour long showers which led to me masterbating), do what you need to do in the shower and that's it, don't spend excessive time cleaning or admiring your member.

If it happens while on the computer - don't read/look at stuff that you know leads you to masterbating. If you find that you get an erection while reading/looking at something on the computer, close the window and get away from the computer for a while (many times I'd read something innocent that made me get a hard on and then I'd revert back to masterbating). Same with the porn, don't read/look at stuff that you know will lead you to looking at porn. This is where you have to really practice self control and close your internet and even turn off the computer when you have the urge to look at stuff.

Masturbating and viewing pornography is just like any other habit - once you start it's hard to break the cycle. With masterbating, the body will get into the habit of needing to release itself because you've gotten into the habit of doing it. As time goes on (if you're trying to stop) you're body will slow down it's production and you won't have the urgency to do it. You've got to remember that if you mess up along the way it's alright, but don't rationalize your mess ups to the point of where you make excuses just to do it. If you work on not doing it, you can break the cycle, just don't give up! The key thing is not to think about it. If you are thinking about it, you'll probably revert back to the habit. If you are thinking about not doing it, you're still thinking about it and will probably revert back to it. Hope this helps!!!

because you are going through puberty!

Because you are a desperate, horny 14 year old boy like all the other boys going through puberty. Once you get a wife and kid (unless you're gay) you'll stop or slow down. Shame on the internet for making it so accessible for minors.

Well porn like many things is ok in moderation. It is only addictive because it is very erotic and turns you on. But if it takes over your life then you should stop. Maybe you should try and cut down on it, and I don't know whether you use it to masturbate or not, but maybe give watching it a break for a while and see how you go? Puberty has a lot to do with it as well, it is because you are curious about sex etc, it is normal for your age.

becuase your a lil horney boy ,going through puberty and needs a girl

Are you for real? If you are watching computer porn, ask your parent if you can put the computer in a more public space, so you can have more room in your bedroom.

We ALL watch porn, and it is ment to be addictive, that is how it sells, just don't watch it, but if you can't stop don't let anyone find out what you are doing, I love the stuff as well but I don't watch it that much.

haha, im 14 too, but im a girl and dont watch porn, but its nice to know what the guys my age do when there is no one around.

...........i guesse its normal, cuz ur curiouse and wat ever, ur going through a lot of changes, but u might not want to watch it online, because ur parents can look at what you have been doing. to get rid of the evidence go to google.com ,and next to the arrows that let you go to different pages, there is a triangle pointing down, click it and go to history, then right click and press delete so they wont know.

have fun u horny b*stard, lol jkjk, i always wanted to say that to someone.

You're 14, your hormones are going crazy, and it feels good! As long as it's not interfering with your day-to-day life and activities (such as school, work, family life, etc.), just kick back and enjoy it! I'm 31 and I personally love watching porn.

its ok, your pumped up on testosterone, and going through puberty make you horny as hell, you will live

you are just a horny little boy. arent you just a horny little boy? i just wrote this to get 2 points

How to avoid porn addiction on the Internet

1. Consider installing porn content filtering software( Strongly Recommend NetDog ,you can get it from www.netdogsoft.com ) on your computer. it will help to protect you from stumbling into pornography by accident, That's important.

2. Do not try to guess what the address of a Web page is. Many pornographic sites have similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov

3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.

4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.

5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you need.

6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.

Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or close the window.
