Is is bad if I dont really feel anything after my workout?!

Question: I find I dont really feel any soreness rigth after my workout. I planned on doing 3 sets of 8 reps of bicep curls with 2, 10 pound dumbells (im just starting out so doint bug my about the weight =) but becasue I didnt feel sore I kept going and going and ended up doing about 7 sets and I still dont really feel to sore. Does this mean Im not working hard enough? If so, I dont think I'd be able handle and extra 10 pounds on the dumbels so Im not sure what i should do. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't feel sore either (mainly because I drink protein drinks and eat right), but if you want to build muscle, you're not working out right. The whole point really is (depending on your type of routine) that after 3 sets, the muscle group your working out is too exhausted to continue at the same level you were at.

You need to increase your weights (assuming you have good form). Find a weight that you are unable to do more then say 6 reps on. Then for your first 2 sets use slightly lighter weights and do 8-10 reps and on your last set, use the heavier weight and try to squeeze out 6-8.

Then you're done with that exercise and move onto something different. Keep doing more sets and you can actually have negative results to make you weaker.

no, you don't have to feel "pain" to prove anything.

do different exercises.. then you will feel sore.
