Many people claim to have 8-9-10 inch penises because they measure incorrectly. Use a limp/soft measuring tape to trace the entire penis length from the TOP, as if inserting. This means, hold it down while it's erect and have it point straight forward. Measure it from the wall of your stomach to the tip. You should not be measuring from the side your testicles are on, but the side your belly button is near. You should not be measuring from either the left or right side, as it won't correlate with other peoples' measurements.
Not like any of this matters, anyway. A penis is a penis, unless you picked a real bobble-head-whore. : P
use a ruler. i am 14 and i am 8 inches erect
1. Get put yer thingy in a lasso and pull it tight.
2. Have friend or Jeep wench to stretch to maximum length.
3. Have sister use yardstick to measure
(if you're not big enough yet for the yardstick, although I was at 14, just use the little pink, plastic, ruler you win at Chuck E. Cheese)

As for size, it depends on ethnic and family background. For an adult caucasion, average size is about 7 inches adult black is about 8-9 inches and adult asian is about 3-4 inches. Women are proportional to this too. As for being 14, it shouldn't be it's full size and will grow with you. But depending on your male families background, size will vary and at a different rate will it grow.
Don't worry too much about it. It also matters how you use it when the time comes. You shouldn't have to worry about it at your current age. Wait a few years before thinking of having sex, because one wrong move and a lot of problems could arise for you. I hope I helped ^.^

Measure mine from just below my testicles to the tip when hard. Always wondered the same thing. At 14 mine was (if I was doing it right) was 6.
