Is there anything else I need to know about Whey Protein?!

Question: I know alot of people will say something like "You don't need Protein, You get it in your Diet and blah blah blah" Stuff like that. But I made my decision, thank you for your opnion though. Well I heard different things, I KNOW whey protein shakes is not a meal replacement shake. I KNOW that it can't be turned into fat because it's an amino acid. I KNOW that I can have a post workout shake. I KNOW drinking to much will blow my kidneys and liver out and I have to drink alot of water. So here are my questions.

Do I have to eat any specific foods? Such as Carbs?

Do I take a shake in the morning, Pre, Post workout, and before I go to sleep? I'm 14. ("You shouldn't be worried about what you look like!" Blah blah blah...)

Any brands? I got alot of recommendations about 100% Optimum Whey

Will mixing it with milk reduce it's absorbency? (As in it lowers the amount of protein muscle absorb)

Any other supplments I need to take? Multivitamin For sure.

Thanks!

I have a shake in the morning and post workout which works fine for me. I take ON whey protein and i take it with milk because my stomach handles it better that way. I did hear taking it with milk will slow down the absorption but it works fine for me.
Don't forget it's a good idea to get protein for other sources too.
