I would like to say something to everyone. First the definition of Holy means without sin, sacred, spiritiually perfect or pure; untainted by evil or sin; sinless; saintly. I immediately thought of choosing Holy even though I know I'm not perfect. It looks like everyone else chose health. It would be very difficult choosing health especially for me because I know that someday I am going to die from cancer, heart disease, an accident, or some other illness. People are born and people die. In fact about 150,000 people die every 24 hours. I live in constant chronic severe pain at times. I have good days and bad ones. I have been diagnosed with RSD or reflex sympathetic dystrophy, which involves the sympathetic nervous system. There is no cure but treatment. Some go into remission temporarily and some go into full remission. Anyway, I'm going to share something wholesome and up lifting to everyone reading this and it may make some of you angry. If it does I'm not going to change my answer.
I don't consider myself religious. Christianity is not a religion. Now in other "religions" salvation is sought by self-effort, because God is not conceived of as absolutely holy. With Christianity, good works will not make a person go to heaven. If someone thinks that they are a good person then there are a few things people can ask themselves. Everyone else who thinks they don't deserve to go to Heaven or have "ruined" their afterlife" has a chance to make a choice of if they go to Heaven or Hell. I've made so many mistakes that if God judges me by the Ten Commandments I will go to Hell. I used to be considered sort of like a miss goodie two shoes in school because I didn't drink, use drugs, smoke, or have sex. I was very quiet. However I'm not perfect nor claim to be. I make mistakes EVERY DAY! God will forgive me. Talking about the Ten Commandments, I've already broken at least four of them that I know of and probably more if I look into them. I've lied, stolen something small when I was little, I've used the Lord's name in vain-that's called blasphemy, and the one that gets a lot of people including myself is where Jesus said, "You heard it was said, "Do not commit adultery." "But I say to you", Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart". Even though I'm not a man, the same goes for women who lust after a man. By my own admission, I'm a lying thief, and an adulterer in my own heart and that's only three of the Ten Commandments. I'm guilty of at least four. If God judges me on that standard do I think I would be guilty or innocent? Most would say including myself that I'm guilty. Another way to look at it is if you're in a court and your guilty of something like stealing a car, the judge ask you how you plead and you ask the judge to please forgive you for your what you did even though you are guilty, do you think that judge would let you go if he's a good judge? Of course not because then he would be a bad judge and get thrown out. God is good and if you say to God I lied I stole, I want you to let me go. If he's a good judge he can't let you go or he'd lose his job. The judge in court is going to make sure that you receive the punishment that you deserve for the crime. The Bible says all liars have their part in the lake of fire, it says no thief, no adulterous can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. So if God gives you justice and you're going to die one day and stand before God he treats you according to your sins, you're going to go to Hell. Because God is good he says, He will punish murderers, liars, thieves, adulteresses, and that's you and that's me! But he made a way for you to be forgiven because He loves you. Jesus died on the cross so that we wouldn't perish but have eternal life with him in the kingdom of Heaven. So it's like if you're in court, your guilty, and the judge says to you "Can you pay your fine, it's $50,000. A lot of people would say no, so your going to go to prison. All of a sudden someone you don't know comes in and pays your fine. How would you feel about that person? Most would say grateful. The Bible says that's what God did for you and for me 2000 years ago. God sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to take your punishment and my punishment. It's like this... We broke the law and Jesus paid our fine because He died for you. And the Bible says if you repent, turn from your sins, But then forgive you for your sin once and for all and put your faith in Jesus, He said trust Him with your whole heart., He will forgive you of your sin and give you what you don't deserve. Heaven and a clean heart. He will make you clean. So the thing is, you could die tomorrow, God doesn't want you to go to Hell, He sees everyone of your sins, but if He gives you what you deserve, you're going to perish. in Hell but He sent Jesus because He loves you. So what a lot of you should do, before you go to sleep tonight or anytime today, say, God forgive me for my sin. I believe in Jesus with all my heart. And stop fooling around with what you know is wrong, and say I'm going to obey you the rest of the days of my life. God says he even says he sees our thoughts, maybe the law doesn't see us but God sees inside your heart and He's going to hold you accountable for everything and me too. The only way we can have hope of going to Heaven and not go to Hell is to give Him our whole life. He doesn't want you to just go to church and say a prayer or say, "God forgive me. He says "No I want everything, your whole heart, your whole life, and you got to turn away once and for all and say, "God I'm guilty and I have offended you and made you angry with me". I deserve to go to hell, but if you will forgive me, I give you my whole life.

I would like to have good health but what I realize is when I die, and go spend eternal life either in Heaven or Hell I have to say Holy because I will live in the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity. We know what happens to everyone when they die. Isn't there something in you that says, "I don't want to die, I want to live?" I choose to be Holy by the Spirit

I'm an atheist, so I choose "healthy."

The bible says some pretty messed up things at times, especially in the old testament. Therefore, my answer is healthy.

I choose healthy

The bible does not say anywhere not to masturbate, it simple says not too waste the seed which is about a brother not impregnating his sister in law. God would never make a body to not masturbate and give them the ability to do it. He is not that cruel.

How can god condemm you for doing something that keeps you healthy? Where does it say you can not consume meat on good friday?

I'd rather be healthy because your health is better than holy. holy would be my third answer my second would be something else

I'm not religious but I realize that most people in this country are. I think many rules in the Bible were given to help with cleanliness and public health in ancient times. Of course today is so different from then that I think most of these rules only hold symbolic meaning. I would rather be healthy in the way that today's doctors and scientists would deem appropriate.

For those of us that are not Catholic....I did eat meat on Good Friday so I suppose I chose healthy. On the other hand my religion/beliefs forbid the use of alcohol or smoking so it already gives me the advantage of choosing healthy while being holy......using your words.

Well you see if i chose healthy i would not mind it. But i chose holy i would most likely have a good afterlife if there is one. This is a good question but i would have to say healthy because i have allready mest up my afterlife. ;(
