Excercising daily, but im not gaining any muscles?!


Question: excercises such as push ups etc but im not gaining any muscles.

one of your problems could be that you're not getting enough protein, which drastically effects muscle growth. Also, from your description, you're a classi ectomorph, which in laymins terms, means that you're very skinny, and have a hard time putting on any kind of weight, fat or muscle. I would suggest using dumbbells and barbells ASAP, because even ectomorphs that go to the gym and use all their equipment still have a hard time putting on muscle. so yes, take about 1.5 grams of protein per body weight, but i wouldn't go much past that.

If you are woman then you aren't really going to be gaining huge muscles. Do you feel stronger? How is your form?
Are you stretching properly? Lactic acid eats away at muscle tissue. Also it could be your body type that is preventing you from having muscle definition so you may need to alter your workouts. What else are you doing for muscle? Are you only doing push ups? Are you varying the intensity? Before you start with protein drinks I would seek out more information from professionals first. Maybe see about getting with a personal trainer at the gym? Maybe get some home exercise dvds? It's important to have a balanced work out. There are some great books out there that can help you as well as some magazines.

When you exercise, you break some of the muscle stands in the parts of the muscle you work out. The body then repairs these broken muscle strands making them stong and more enhanced ( bigger ). The repairing of the strands takes about 48 hours. And if you probly under 13-14 you probly havent started producing the hormones to repair muscle. And even if you have it takes about 48 hours to repair these muscles unless you take steriods, but if you take steriods you can grow boobs and your testicles could grow small. If you are really looking for muscles go to a gym, most gyms have a free training sesion for joining and they will teach you how to work the machines. And after you work out try a protien supplement, it helps.
