Why am I 20 and this skinny?!


Question: I eat normally everyday. I even workout but my muscles never grow out because the lack of fat on my body. Do protein supplements work? Please help, I am very self conscious about this. thanks.

Bodybuilders often take a powdered form of protein, the essential building blocks for muscle. Protein powder is generally consumed immediately after exercising, or in place of a meal. Having sufficient protein intake allows for efficient growth and repair of muscle tissue.
Whey protein is the most commonly used type of protein. It contains high levels of all the essential amino acids not produced by the human body, and is absorbed by the body very quickly.
Casein protein (or Milk protein) is the richest in glutamine, an amino acid that aids in recovery, and has casomorphin which helps the body to absorb the amino acids over a long time.
Soy protein contains all essential amino acids, and is an alternative protein for vegetarians. Soybeans also contain isoflavones, a type of phytoestrogen, which have a weak estrogenic activity
Egg white protein is a lactose- and dairy-free protein.
Hemp seed contains complete and highly-digestible protein and hemp oil is high in essential fatty acids.

You probably need more calories in addition to protein. Go to GNC or someplace like that and get some weight gain powder stuff, but make sure you are working out, or it will just make you fat.

Whatever you do, do not start eating fatty foods to gain weight. Just continue eating healthy ammounts of healthy food and continue with your workouts and you will eventually see a difference. Eat a lot of fish!

just be glad to be skinny try eating more protein and talk to your doctor dont get adviceoff here talk to someone at a gym or a doctor who knows what they are doing good luck

you have a high metabolism or maybe its in your genes. Eat foods high in calories and fats.. sleep more.

U may have a fast metabolisms,if so u may be lucky being a person which will not have any problems with weight gain

Some people just are skinny.
Look at it this way: when you are middle aged you won't get a gut....
