I don't think briefs hurt your junk, but boxer briefs are wayyyyy sexier. It took me forever to get my husband to wear them and once he tried them he never went back. They still support you, but they don't dig into your legs and girls think they are hot!

The scrotum holds the testes away from the body to maintain this cooler temperature. Boxers allow them to hang and keep cool. Briefs allow the higher temperatures close to the body to heat the testes and lower sperm count.
Briefs also keep the body close and may sweat and rub. This can cause jock-itch.
Otherwise it's a personal preference.

Your unmentionables were created hanging out so they don't over heat by sticking to your body , that's why boxers are better.

Hard to say, pardon the pun. I think you should shop around: Cotton light-weight boxers in a full cut and with a comfortable elastic waistband that is not too tight should be fine, the stuff does not have to be the major designer brands necessarily either: JOCKEY is all right for boxers. As for briefs, white tighties and such, for some they impede erection, for others they encourage arousal and erection, largely because of the friction against the penis, etc.; and in addition there is some scientific support for fertility being negatively affected by prolonged wearing of briefs. Unless you are one horny little fellow or a Calvin Klein underwear model or such, I recommend that you give boxers a shot. Sometimes I wear sexy underwear, bikin briefs, silk lingerie style nightwear underwear for men, even thong underwear, mostly though for in the house and even for whenever I am going somewhere I wear boxers. One caution: Wash your boxers in cold and dry only on tumble dry or delicate cycle for no more than 40 minutes per drying, as boxers can shrink.
I personally can't stand boxers, I've tried a few times and always end up with my sack stuck to my leg and if I do it for a couple of days they get sore.
I'm sticking with briefs, just stay away from the whitey tighties. I wear Jockey, CK, 2(x)ist, Unico, etc... Anything that looks good and has a nice pouch for the boys.
