What's the fastest way to grow a beard?!

Question: Just wondering, because right now I just have a moustache and a budding beard on my chin. Nothing to speak of under my chin and throat area. My goal is to get the sort of House-like stubble you see on Dr. House in "House MD" by the fall.

Advice?

It's either going to grow or not. No way to make it grow faster or slower. I have had a full beard for over 30 years. So you have what you have. Just let it grow out then you can get a beard trimmer and do the stubble thing only if you have enough for stubble.

don't shave

get some testosterone cream and rub it on the areas that you want to grow hair

Fastest way is to not shave. Only way is to not shave. In short, there's nothing you can do to make it grow faster.

The fastest way is to shave. It'll grow out more and grow thicker and faster. But you won't ge the "House" look for some time. I've been shaving for 2 years and still don't have that look. That look comes in time...a long time. I've been getting some stuff on the sides (a lot, actually), but it's still not on the neck (not much, anyway).

I don't understand why people said, "don't shave." Shaving is the fastest way to grow it out. If you don't shave, the hair just stays there. Once you shave it, it'll come back thicker and faster. I know this by experience.

BUT, before you shave, make sure you have something to shave off first. You can grow it out a little, but don't shave any hair that you can't see but can feel. Leave the blonde hair alone and shave the black hairs.

Shaving to grow hair is a myth. Just takes time, and you could try increasing the amount of protein in your diet. It won't make you grow faster, but hair is protein and having more in readily available in your body should help you reach peak physical growth.
