Question: ok so i am 16 years old and a male i got stopped by a cop and got a ticket for cutting through a parking lot he charged me with careless and prohibited driving i go to court on april 15 what do i expect ( first time in court ) thanks

First of all, you have to take your parents I am sure. Drive carefully next time and for first time offenders, our state gives you the option of getting it dismissed, but you have to go to "driving school" with a parent. (VIRGINIA)
Luckily my uncle is a Lieutenant in the police force so whenever I get a speeding ticket or anything I give it to him. Or I just tell the officer who my uncle is and they let me off. :D
you may actually can avoid going to court. just call the courthouse and see how much the ticket is and get a certified check and just pay it. now maybe things dont work that way where you are, but that is what i have always done when i got speeding tickets.
