How much calories should this burn off ? WEIGHTLIFTING?!


Question: 10 sets of barbell curls = 10 reps = 16 kg
10 sets of bench press = 10 reps = 25 kg

i am a begginer , not looking to bulk up , just tone and lose my beer belly

Not sure how many calories your weights may burn off but to give you an idea...... at my gym one day i had just finished an intense 45 minute run on the treadmill when my trainer came over to me and said 'a bit of trivia for you'. That 45 minute run you have just done is what it would take to burn off the calories of one large slice of pizza!. I now watch what i eat very carefully!

you should not look at weightlifting as calorie burning. Weightlifting is anabolic. This will firm and strengthen your body.
Exercise (jogging cycling rowing ect.) is aerobic. This will help you lose weight. Lose your beer belly by aerobic exercise as well as lots of sit-ups. Oh! and cut down on the beer!!!
