I was shaving and I cut a mole off! There is a lot of blood! What should I do?!

Question: I can stop the bleeding, but I am not sure if it is dangerous to cut a mole off or not. Help?

My aunt is a nurse and I just called and asked her your question. She informed me that IF infection is noticable after 3 days to get it checked. If the mole was larger than dime size, you should get it checked anyway. Use some household rubbing alcohol or peroxide twice a day to reduce the risk of infection. Ah, and it is probably best if you wear a band-aid over it until scabbed properly.

get a bandage

Go to the doctor. Cutting a mole off is very dangerous if done incorrectly (usually the case with accidents).

It can bleed for a while and get very infected.

Just get a face cloth and press really hard on the cut, helps it heal better....

It's not harmful to cut a mole off.

Heya

Get to the doctors preferably A&&E right now. Its very dangerous. If it bleeds its dangerous to. Get it checked asap =] xxx

go to the doc and they will tell u

Sometimes the blood don't stop. You may have to go to the emergency room to have it cauterized. Mine bled, lightly for about 2 days. I kept a band aid on it tightly. U need to have that mole removed!!

Mix express coffee with a bit of water and dab it onto the mole, then put a bandaid for a while.
do not use peroxide. it does kill bacteria but also kills all the good bacteria
my mum used coffee and it stopped bleeding straight away.

Use an antisceptic to clean the area, but otherwise, there's probably no harm. You might want to have a tetanus booster if you haven't had one lately, just in case.
