Y varicocele patients dun choose IVF? y they choose Varicocelectomy???weird.?!
Question: i am 14+ , i have bilaterally varicocele , dun nid surgery, but i wonder y ppl dun choose IVF but they choose varicoceletomy? is it the price? IVF seems to be the easier way can no risk of complication in the testis, explain WHY.

Liu Z I had the same problem and asked my doctors about the two procedures and what were their advantages and disadvantages. All of the doctors said that in the case of IVF the varicocele would come back and that I should have the varicoceltomy. After a year of it getting larger and more uncomfortable I went ahead and had the surgery. It laid me out for about a week. That is no work, no exercise, and no boom boom. I was very careful to follow the physician's orders and what was the final result? Well it is now even larger and more uncomfortable than before the surgery. Now remember virtually every doctor will say any surgery has it's risks of success. But the aggravating thing is that every doctor recommended the procedure over IVF. So my opinion is try the IVF first. They will say that there is a risk of infection from the insertion of a hypodermic. But they still do this in other procedures so why is this one so much riskier? If it does not work then You can consider major surgery. Good luck and I hope I helped.
