Just trim everything with a pair of blunt nosed scisors... but BE CAREFULL!!!
And from a gal's point of view... if it's curly, cut is short enough so it still curls a bit. It's VERY uncomfortable if it's really short... because it tends to be prickly.
And if you REALLY want to get a clean cut, grab a disposable/elecric razor, LATHER UP, and shave the edges (or places that you don't want the hair). I was with a guy that shaved his balls and the very base of his shaft... HUGE turn on... they are so fun to play with when it's all nice and clean! :)
