If you don't want to drink milk to get your calcium you could always pop a couple of Tums every day, not only are they used for heartburn, they can also be used as a calcium supplement.
Tums, not Rolaids.

Use vitamin D milk like my dad does. He also heard about the side effects and started using vitamin d milk instead of non fat

Google calcium content of food.

I take a supplement. If you do that, make sure it isn't C. carbonate (chalk) or C. dolomite (Bone) which are the two most common types.

milks pucking good drink up it also helps dairy farmers

Dear 13 y/o!

WHAT "long term side effects of milk" are YOU talking about??? Are you 'allergic' to milk?

MILK has been FEEDING kids, and ADULTS for THOUSANDS of years! What are you talking about???

Does your Mother (or Father) know that your are 'playing' on the computer instead of studying your spelling lessons??? ("resently"... "ive"... "efects"... "u"... "recomend") ( I suppose that "u" might be considered as 'short-hand' on the internet, but that still leaves YOU to answer for all the REST that are NOT 'spelled' correctly!

You also need to talk to your "GRAMMAR teacher", so he/she can teach you about 'capitalization'!

Here's one that I DON't want YOU to try!

I used to put (I WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT - I'm NOT going to get SUED) a few drops of a common, household (back then) antiseptic into MY milk, to help me GROW-UP BIG, and STRONG! I don't know how much it helped, but I AM the TALLEST of MY generation... STILL didn't get CLOSE to my Grandfather!

So, YOU need to TALK to someone about your 'perceived' concerns about milk!!!

Good LUCK!

Milk has no side effects that I know of, other than perhaps having cholesterol, but other than that, it's really healthy for you, having vitamins, calcium, and many other minerals and such, and any "side effects" are not true at all. Soy Milk, on the other hand, has estrogen in it from the soy beans, and it can mess up puberty for you if you drink it consistently. So drink up your milk, it's good for you, and stay away from soy bean products!
