Man its all about the clothes. Check if his wear in designers clothes because many gay guys tend to take care of them and also their hair. they give it all away with the combed hair.
You can't. Gay men are sexually attracted to (some) men. That has no effect on one's appearance. Anyone who names some physical characteristic as revealing gayness is repeating stereotypes or bigotry.
You can only tell the small number of men who are somewhat stereotypical using any method. Most gay men, if they are not out -- are totally invisible.

clothing: always wearing v-necks' t-shirts, and he cares about fashion, which means he dresses very fashionable.
muscles: well nowadays everybody wanna gain mass, so this cannot count. but there is a survey about gay men go to gym a lot often than straight men because they wanna meet some hot straight/ gay guys there. so....
style: well a stastic report shows us that gay people are more talented.

muscles? not really, some gays are muscular, to attract other gays... clothing? maybe, but not all... it is their style... style in everything... their movements, their words, the way they look on cute males...
You can't! Unless he is openly gay or acts very flamboyantly you really can't tell who's gay and who isn't. I've met at least 3 guys (college) who I though were completely straight and ended up being gay or bisexual. I also sterotyped one guy who I was almost sure to be gay incorrectly. Not only is he now married with a daughter but he has never been interested in guys at all.
I do think that many gay guys give off a "gay vibe" that women are usually better at detecting. That usually has to do with their sense of dress, style, music and other interests moreso than the way they walk, talk and act. You can pick up hints as to whether or not a guy is gay by the things that he is interested in. For instance, if he never talks about girls or avoids conversations about "hooking up" with girls, there is a good chance he is gay. But other than that, the stereotypical gay mannerisms are only manifested in a handful of gay people. For everyone that acts like that, there are probably 3 more that act normal.
