Protein Powder Question?!

Question: Hey I recently bought some whey Protein Powder I drink it with milk. I was suppose to be gaining weight and lean muscle. I've been lifting weights...etc.Nothing Happening... I'm currently taking it before working out and by the way I work out at night so before i sleep I workout then drink it...Is this the way I should be doing it to gain weight and muscle?

You should be getting 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight (most should be from solid food) and you have to eat more calories then what you burn, about 200-500 above, add 500 cals more than what you eat now and if by the end of the week still nothing...then add 500 more...muscle grows on a calorie surplus...also make sure you have a good routine at the gym... go to www.bodybuilding.com and do your research and join the forum. awesome website.. eat fairly clean calories (food that will build muscle) and you should gain only about a pound a week

It will take time to gain muscle mass. It takes 4-6 weeks to gain one pound of muscle. You want to have a carbohydrate before your workout and then your protein after.

Whey doesn't have that much in it in the first place.
