Cocoon Or pouch?!

Question: My mom married and divorced this guy and has said that he has what she calls a cocoon in wich his penis is in. The way she describes it is that he has a flap or fold of skin that completly covers his penis. How often does this occure in men? And what is the medical name this condition is called and can it be fixed?

Dear MistyStar,
What I believe what she is referring to is the foreskin. It sounds like he is uncircumcised, which means that, when he was a baby, his family did not choose to have a lot of loose skin that hangs loosely over the front of his penis, surgically s removed.
I don't know how old you are, but if you can type your question, which is a good one, I believe you are old enough to get a basic anatomy book from the library or borrow a health book from your school that is on your grade level.
I've been a nurse for twenty-seven years. I have always believed in teaching my children the proper names for their body parts. One of the advantages to this is in case of an emergency,( if going to the doctor's office and you have to tell him/her something), if you need to help one of your friend communicate something that is going on with them, it's important to have the right terminology so that people know what you're talking about. O.k?
There ISN'T anything wrong with you knowing about the human body. It isn't a sin, nor is saying the proper names for body parts a sin. And, definitely, girls being smart is wrong. lol
Take care and God bless.

He's just uncircumcised(the foreskin hasn't been cut away). In the United States, about half of all men are like this.

Really sounds like you are describing a normal natural penis, uncircumcised. Maybe she thought all men were circumcised, and had never been with a natural guy. Often natural penises are fully encased in the foreskin, like a cocoon, and even the tip may not be visible unless the foreskin is pulled back.
