Is it true the foreskin dries up when you get old?!

Question: Just wondering as not sure to have a baby circumcised

Answers: Just wondering as not sure to have a baby circumcised

No, the foreskin is skin, and will not dry up any more than normal skin, it's location does nothing that would cause it to dry up. As for what you should do for your son, leave him alone. His foreskin is not yours to meddle with, and you have no business cutting off part of his body without his informed consent. By leaving him intact, you allow him to make his own decisions about his body, and as most people do realize, when you make decisions on your own, your decision holds more power and meaning to you. Even several of the people who adamantly push for circumcision have come to these conclusions themselves, which is why they are so passionate about it, much like people who are against circumcision feel so passionately about their point of view as well, it's all because personal choices hold so much meaning and power for those that make them. Granted, you will have to keep his penis clean throughout childhood, but then, how is this any different than any other part of his body? Teaching him to be clean is a part of life. So, for the sake of your son, allow him to make his own choices, don't feel the need to make his choices for him, it's simply proper human etiquette to allow people the freedom to choose for themselves.

if we were born with it than just leave it.

  • No.

The penis and foreskin stay the same throughout your life.

A circumcision removes thousands of nerve endings which in the adult give additional sexual pleasure to a man. The American Pediatric Association says in their policies that "routine circumcision is unnecessary".

80% of the world's men have an intact penis; and they do not suffer from more STDs or other problems as a result.

In the US, after reaching a maximum of 95% of newborns in 1968, circumcision rates have fallen to below 50% as parents realize this is not only unnecessary but cruel; allow your child to grow up with a foreskin, and if he wants to remove it as an adult he can make that decision for himself.

Please talk with your Pediatrician before making this decision.

    Not true. It's stays there.

go ahead knock yourself out 'cause everything dries up when your old ;-D LMAO

have him circumcised,it is easier to keep clean,

you should not have him cricumcized!

when a guy who is circumsized grows older they end up loosing feeling like the sensitivity in there head goes away. its like if us girls walked around with out lips pulled back and our clit out it would dry up and try to protect it self and loose the feeling in it.

    OMG YES!!

    why does yours?

    have him circumcised,,,its cleaner,,,looks better,,,

You should do the right thing and have your son circumcised. You will be giving him a lifelong gift of much better hygiene, health, appearance, comfort, self-esteem and FAR better sexual sensation and pleasure during intercourse both for him and his future female partner(s). Also, most mature women with experience of both, overwhelmingly prefer a circumcised man as a sexual partner - just ask a few!! There are NO disadvantages to being circumcised, so please do the right thing for your son and get him circumcised from the beginning. He will thank you for it later.

that's like asking "is it true that the vaginal flaps dry up when you get old"

No. I think u must not circumcise ur baby. Foreskin protects glans penis & that's how it remains all natural sensitive through out the life. Circumscison makes penis less sensitive & it may lead to impotency.
