Does trimming your pubic hairs cause them to grow back twice as thick?!

Question: In general does TRIMMING your pubic hair with scissors cause it to grow back twice as thick?
And like if you even accidently cut the entire hair does it grow back twice as thick?

Thanks!

There is no truth to that myth. You can trim your pubes as much as you want and it is only going to grow what was there. I trim mine regularly and it is no thicker than it ever was, no matter how short I trim or even shave it. Try trimming the pubes above your penis and shave the balls smooth. It looks better that way being groomed and it feels great having smooth balls.

No. The hair follicle that produces the hair has no idea what is happening at the other (dead) end.

No. Shaving also doesn't make hair come back thicker, it just comes back itchier and pointier from being shaved.

No it doesn't.

Trimming the hair really doesn't do much except change the aesthetic quality of it.

Shaving can change the way the hair grows because it can "traumatize" the hair follicle but it shouldn't make it come back twice as thick.

The only negative to shaving is that when the hair is just starting to grow back it's like stubble. On your face, stubble is just an annoyance to anyone you kiss. Between your thighs, stubble is an agonizing chafe extravaganza!

I really do not understand why anyone would have the need to know something like this, but the answer is that after trimming those hairs you better get ready for an irritating itch and maybe a burning feeling in that area until it grows back.

No the hair is not thicker. However, short hair (whether pubic or otherwise) is stiffer and feels more prickly. Once the hair gets longer it flops over and feels softer. For example a 5 'oclock shadow feels more prickly than a full beard. But the thickness of the hair itself never changes.

Hair folicles are under the skin. What you're cutting is only the ends. No it will not come back thicker.

no

No it will not grow back faster, nor thicker. Does cutting your hair on your head make it grow faster or thicker? No! I done hair for a living and assure you it's an old wifes tale. Good Luck!
