Embarrassing question, but needs asked anyhow...It's serious, about someone !

Question: I have a question here, about someone I know.....he's a male, and my everything......anyhow, I jsut wanted to ask...ummmmm, Is it possible, that when a male get circumsized before leaving the hospital, that, if they clip off too much, can they cut into where the male can't produce babies, even if the sperm comes out? and will it be curved, instead of straight? I ask, because it's been a year and a half, and still no kids, and his ummm, yeah, has a scar on it..........he was my first, and I don't know anything about this subject matter and he's also my everything. He's my hubby. Please let me know. but please, NO LINKS TO ANY PICS. thanks.

If pregnancy is important to you now or in the future, and it sounds like it is, then I would make yourself an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist for some testing. Anytime pregnancy is desired and it does not occur within a year of unprotected sex of those under age 35 or within six months of those 35 and over, you should be evaluated for infertility. Though I am not 100% sure about the issues you are describing, I can tell you that I know that when there is a problem with infertility, it is more likely to be female-related rather than related to a problem with male functioning. However, there are also many more treatments available if the problem is in the function of the female partner's reproductive system. When the problem rests with the male partner's functioning, there are fewer options for treatment. However, don't despair. There is help available. The first step is a complete battery of testing, likely including blood work, semen analysis, pelvic exam and a vaginal ultrasound. The doctor will also ask many questions and there will be forms to fill out regarding reproductive history and overall health history. If parenting is really important to you, it is important to seek help as soon as you can as the longer you wait, the older you get and the harder it gets to conceive. The risk also increases with age. My husband and I tried (and are really not preventing now) for years to get pregnant and never have. We will be married eleven years this May. We are parents through adoption and although my daughter is beautiful, there is still a part of me that longs to carry a baby and give birth. I have been where you are and not getting pregnant when you want to is frustrating, sad, anger-inducing......many emotions all rolled into one. Every month you wait for your period thinking, could this be the month? And then you get your period and you know it is not. I have entered the phase of acceptance with my grief regarding infertility. I have accepted that I will never give birth and that is okay (has to be, I have no choice). However, we are also very open if pregnancy does occur, but as the years tick by (I just turned 37), our chances become slimmer and slimmer. I really want success for you in achieving what you want. Please seek the help of a medical professional as soon as you can. And, if all else fails or you decide not to pursue pregnancy any longer, please consider adoption. Our daughter is beautiful and the light of our lives.

well sometimes they are curved
and it can leave scars as well
you should go to a doctor about the baby thing
cuz it has nothing to do with that

circumcision can't lead to sterility. Curved penis are quite common and has nothing to do with been fertile. He needs to take a sperm count.

maybe he should consult a doc for good advice.

You two should see a Fertility Specialist....

Such an apparently botched circumcision cannot cause sterility. But the surgeon deserves to be castrated.

Curved penises are natural, chances are it isn't straight. See a doctor, urologist, or fertility specialist, but don't just assume it is him. You may have problems of your own that you aren't taking claim to. Just make sure you are positive you have check with problems in both of you. If not adoption can be a great idea, there are thousands of babies waiting for a happy home, you can help.

The curvature is natural, though it can vary widely.
Any circumcision that made him infertile would have to be so badly botched that he probably could not have sex.
Have him get a sperm count.
If he wears tight underwear have him switch to boxers; the testicles need to be somewhat cooler than the rest of the body to produce viable sperm - that's why they are external.

Also, sperm need a couple of days to mature in the epididymus, so it is recommended you wait one or two days between copulations to allow those tadpoles to ripen.

a circumcision does not lead to sterility. Sperm is created in the testicles. Curvature of the penis is also not due to circumcision. There are curved penis' with uncircumcised too.

Perhaps he has a problem with his fertility. He should try wearing boxers, changing his diet, more fruits and vegetables as well as good proteins (chicken, fish, turkey), and more exercise. These all have an impact on male fertility. If this doesn't work then you need to see a fertility specialist.

My husband is circumcised and if you've seen how they do it, they trim the outer skin of the penis. To cause damage like that they'd have to go inside the penis to snip it. It's like a vasectomy, they can only take his ability to reproduce that way. Just stop stressing and when you do you'll get preggers. At least that's how the story goes.
