Hey man,

As you probably know, everyone has a 6 pack, just we have a layer of fat over it.

My 6 pack did not really come through until I was 23.

I have always been fit and healthy, but have taken a more conscience effort to maintain health.

What I have found worked for me, was to portion control what I eat. I still eat any thing I want, just in moderation. I also make sure I go for a run or if I am not 100% at least a walk every day (same distance).

Concentrate on eating more unrefined foods; raw fruit and vegetables, wholemeal or grain breads, brown rice, pastas, etc.

Also some light weight training works a treats as well. Also some sit-ups, leg raises, crunches, everyday. Make it part of a routine with stretching.

Don't go into this protein supplement crap. A lot of my mates went into body building and take protein supplements and they have now stopped and are fat.

well it depends on how much you work out.

My friend has been trying to get a six-pack for a while, and he's similar to you, maybe taller.

So, a while. Patience is a virtue

Getting a six-pack is highly dependant on your genetics. Particularly how apt you are to being able to add muscle mass. In order to get a six-pack you have to decrease your your body fat to probably about 10% (again depends on genetics) and increase the size of the abdominal muscles themselves.

How long this takes is determined by your genetics and how much effort you put into it.

im 15, 5' 11 1/2" i have a visible six pack when i flex. idk about all the numbering but. im 144 lbs. and i just to around hmmm.... 25-30 a couple nights a week, but you should only stop after youve gone about 10 situps past the point where it stings. so yeah.

idk if 16.2 is fat but im, actually im too skinny, trying to do nightly workouts(situps and pushups). but im guessing we're around the same place...
