Pubic (male) hair should be shaved or they serve any purpose?!

Question: Is there medical evidence supporting that the hair is useful for body in some sense?

Interesting answers so far, especially the friction thing! Don't know where some people get their info. Hair can actually create more friction than reduce it.

But to your answer; from an anthropological stand point, scientist agree that pubic and armpit hair serve the purpose of retaining pheromones used to attract a mate in primitive times. The sweat glands in the pubic and pit region secrete specific chemicals that we used to use as communication to let others knows our sex, age, sex readiness, menstral period for females and much more. When we are young, we don't produce these chemicals and have no need for a way to retain them. But as we grow, you will notice that everyone has a unique smell (or at least you would if we didn't use so many perfumed product, but then again, thanks for modern science) Boys in puberty smell different than girls, who smell different than those who work out, than those who play sports, than those who are sedantry. It all depends, or at least to, on our role in society. But today, we don't use these chemicals any more and actually find them to be offensive. And while some pheromones are produced endlessly, others only part of the time, the purpose of them is no longer needed. Therefore, shaving your pubic hair is a totally natural and many times helpful way of keeping clean. Many more people today trim or totally shave their pubic and armpit hair than used too. We dont' see it as much because our society has become somewhat paranoid about nudity, but in intimate matters, most people would agree, trimmed, if not shaved is much better.

I think hair is there to keep us warm. But I dont know about pubes.

ehhh trim it and keep it neat

Pubic hair and armpit hair both serve as cushioning and padding against friction. We get pubic hair during puberty because that is when our bodies are physically ready to have sex. The pubic hair is there to prevent any friction that may be created during intercourse. Armpit hair has the same function, for a different purpose. It's to keep our armpits from chafing because of friction created when the arm rubs against the body. Since puberty is the age we really start becoming physically active (I mean REALLY physically active) thats why we get armpit hair then and not earlier.

The pubes are there to absorb your substances but its not necessary you can shave it it s just your body naturally cleaning self

it doesn't matter. if you shave it, it'll grow back

i think guys should shave cause i hate sucking dick that isnt shaved then i get hair stuck in my teeth

it is just a sign of maturity...
