Why Does My Voice Sound Like My Gay Cousin's?!
Question: Ok Im 16 And I Have Hit Puberty Along Time Ago I Hit It Like When I Was 12 But My Voice Still Hasnt Settled. I Sound Just Like My Gay Cousin And Thats Not Cool, People Ask Me All The Time If Im Gay And Im Not. Im Really Sick Of It It Doesn't Sound Normal At All im A Grade Behind Where I Originally Was And All These Guys Younger Than Me Have Deeper Voices Than Me It Really Buggs Me. Help!

a male's voice may take until 18 to correctly settle. This is to do with your body. A lot of singing teachers do not let male students to learn singing until they're older and their voice has settled into what it should naturally be, and what it is capable of.
Partly, my voice didn't settle also because of physcology. I have a VERY VERY deep voice, but I wasn't comfortable using it. Imagine the shock to yourself, and everyone else, if suddenly you go from a light voice to lower than mister swarve and sophisticated. it's taken several years for my voice to settle, and for myself to gradually drop it (don't force your voice low, you might miss where it should actually sit).
And sometimes, the boys which have lighter voices are more attractive than the boys with deeper voices. Sometimes vice versas. And sometimes its the geeks or slow voicers that turn into the beautiful male swans, while all the others with low voices remain ducks.

Actually,12 is the age where you only go through puberty.But the voice change will not be at 12.The earliest for any man on Earth is 13.

Are you ashamed of you gay cousin ? if you are he deserves to know how nasty you are whats wrong with being gay my son is and am proud to be his dad you might just have a high pitched voice so live with it and any one of your so called friend have a problem with that then they are not worthy of your friend ship, now it will be interesting where your loyalty lie, tell you cousin you don't like sounding like him so he can get as far away from you as possible, if that's what you really want
my voice got deep when i turned 15, i guess it just depends on your genes

Face it: you might be a light tenor. C'est la vie. I've met people who have bass-baritone voices who are queer as, so judging it on that alone is no guarantee. Maybe you should look at why you think gay is not cool.
