I prefer boxer briefs with a horizontal fly. Jockey makes them. Guys, try the horizontal fly; you will love it.
I could never snake my penis through the fly on regular briefs. You have to go in one side, across a sheet of cloth, in through the other side, back over to the penis. It's a bit strangling. I would end up just pulling the waistband down in the front.
With boxers, the fly is usually right in front. Sometimes I would have problems with my penis slipping out the fly. And it would flop around too much and get hard.
The boxer brief gives good support but is not as restraining as briefs. The horizontal fly is awesome. You just reach in from the top and there it is.
