Taking Steroids to get in shape and physically fit...?!

Question: I am 23, male and weigh 250Ibs. I am about 5'11" and have quite a gut and a little bit of man boobs. I am not physically active because I try to work out but then life gets in the way and I end up quitting my routine. I want to take steroids to help me out, but I only wanted to take a few cycles just to get in shape like I used to be and then after I have a good routine going I plan on keeping it. What are the pros and cons of doing something like this?

they work great IF and only if you work out regularly!

If you don't, you could really be in some big trouble.

good luck

Steroids will only make you look stronger. It's not a good idea as it effects all parts of your body in a negative way. It also has been shown to make penises smaller. It can also effect your mood and your memory, making it harder to remember things. It can cause depression and aggressive behavior and outbursts.

Pros - yea, you'll get big.

Cons - well, let's see. Those man boobs you talked about, the moment you stop taking them, they will strike back, with an ungodly fury.
Your hormonal levels could change, depending on their current status right now.
A tendency in males is for a "cro-magnun" look to appear in the forehead - a pronounced brow, making you look a lot like a caveman (I am not joking about this at all - there are many guys at my university that dope up and lift weights and they have this).
Also, oh yea, they're illegal.

There are other supplements which will help you build muscle and keep it on, that have no negative side effects. I regularly use creatine and glutamine. These are legal (even in USA), not overly expensive, and they work well (not just some hyped product).

Another thing not often considered by casual bodybuilders is that diet is just as important as your workout. Without proper diet you are spinning wheels and not goin anywhere.

Combine a workout, proper diet and natural, useful supplements and you should see excellent results.

Try to avoid the steroids as they do have the nasty side effects mentioned by other answerers.

dude the steroids will only make you appear, in good health! and when and if you do take them, after you stop you will get 2 times as big!! i seen someone try that just a couple of times stuff man there addictive, don't fall for the gimmicks and fast ways of cheating to get fit man! it doesn't work and most of the time backfires as well! go to a site called coolnurse < .com > and look under mens health, at all the things they say about steroids man! there are no miracles for anything sorry to tell you dude lol but there isn't lol! and if you cant find it under mens health go to the front page and put steroids on the search line ! hope i helped ya out stay strong and be strong man you can do it! if not for anyone but yourself man you can do it best of luck to you really this is a battle and its all up hill but you can do this man! i have seen so many others that can and have done this and are still happy today man! hope i helped ya out peace out jason!

Okay there is no pros of it, being soo buff, then later as you get old it will be all fat. Muscles comes from Fat. So when you get old your not gonna be pumping still, so you'll look fat and flabby. The Major Cons of it is that, it WILL i repeat WILL make your penis smaller. Who wants to do you if your penis when erected is still only like 3 inches? LOL, funny ehh? =/ juss don't do it. If i were you i'd already be satisfly. Please take this suggestion (:
