Examining your vocal cords....at home?!
Question: I'm 14 and i'm starting to get POd because my voice is not even STARTING to change yet and everyone in my class voices have changed or are half way through. Is there any safe way to examine your vocal cords from the comfort of your own to see how they are progressing

Er, no, sorry. You'd have to have special video equipment such as found at a hospital in order to see your vocal cords. Not only that, it's quite dangerous if used improperly, as you would be sticking a flexible tube down your throat. Also, your vocal cords vibrate so fast that it would be near impossible to see them move unless you used a high-speed camera. Besides, you probably couldn't figure out their progress anyway.
You're 14! You've got a while to go yet, anyway. My voice didn't even start to change until I was 15, and I turned out just fine. If you're really worried about it, why not talk to your family doctor? He'll tell you where you are developmentally speaking.
No, do not try any method to examine your vocal chords. Even if you did, it would not make any difference. You can't tell anything. I've seen lots of vocal chords when inserting a tube down the trachea, all pretty much look the same regardless of age. You are just in a hurry, the voice changes usually gradually, not anything you should do to hurry it along.
