To start it off supplements are the biggest scam in the entire sports industry. Their is so much garbage out there that promises results. The truth of the mater is stick to the basics. You want a good protein powder I highly recommend optimum whey its the best tasting and you get the most for your money. Creatine is very good, just get plain creatine monohydrate none of that fancy stuff that costs 50 bucks a tub. And no it will not make you break out. Just cycle creatine for example take it for 8 weeks then don't take it for 4. Glutamine and BCAA's are another must. Other then that just train hard and eat healthy and always take your vitamins . Well here is the point. Your muscle will grow with several factors:

1. You exercise that target muscle until your muscle sore. Active life style will help. In short you need to exercise.
2. You got plenty of protein (also balanced diet low fat and high protein) and rest to recover from your soreness.
3. In the process, you grow muscle and burn fat.

Those factors combined will be a potent factor in growing muscle and decreasing body fat.

Answering the question again, you can get plenty of protein from fish, chicken breast, turkey breast, lean meat, white eggs etc. But you can also get a protein replacement from whey protein. Then if you want to get a shortcut, get whey protein.

Use creatine! and vitamins, protein, ZMA and food and rest.
