Ya, like the others said, tuck it a bit or move it so it points up.
But if she is your best friend, chances are your hers too. Girls are more understanding then you think about these things. You think she doesn't know guys get erections when they are with girls? Try not to worry about it too much and I'm sure you'll find she is pretty ok with it. Sometimes even though girls know what happens, sometimes they are embarrassed to when they see it, honest. The more you fuss over it, the more it will be a big thing, no pun intended.
