Question: my guy friend and i sit together in science,
and after we had been talking for a couple minutes,
i noticed he had an erection!
he noticed after a couple minutes and kept his arm over his crotch for like thirty minutes!!!!! he had it for so long!!
he's cute and nice and all, so i was more amused than grossed out.
but was his erection over ME?

It does not mean it was because of you. During puberty, a guy's hormones rage so much, that erections can happen without them even having to think about anything sexual. They're said happen at the worst times. This is because they happen when a guy isn't thinking about it, and that's usually when he's sidetracked with school or something else.
I know I am a girl but I have a good answer. It may be over you, it could be about any other girl or guy in some cases that he was thinking about. Most girls like to think it is about them but if it isn't don't be upset. As him tell him u saw what u saw and you want to know f he was thinking of you. He will probally not answer but watch his face is he blushes really bad it is about you if he doesn;t show emotion than it isn't.

There's no way to tell without asking him, which is something it seems like you not going to do.
We men can get erections at any random thought. We can be sitting with someone and randomly think of some attractive girl doing something provacative and we'll get an erection. On the flip side, we could also be sitting and talking with you while our minds wander into the gutter about you.
Your friend may or may not have gotten an erection from being attracted to you or by talking to you. Unfortunately for guys, they have no control over when their soldier is going to stand up and salute. I'm sure he was quite embarrassed by it in the same way you would be by getting your period in class and not knowing it until you stood up for everyone to see.

well...he probably was thinking about you, sometimes random erections can happen though...and they are reallly embarrasing, im a guy and i know what that is like...sometimes ill be thinking about one time with my girlfriend in class..and ill get an erection out of nowhere...so he might be getting it over you, if he seemed kinda out of it like he was thinking alot..then yes he self induced it...
its very possible it was because of you just because yall werent talking about anything sexual or anything like that doesnt change the fact that he probably thinks ur freakin hot actually it could be used as a compliment

In the teen years male hormones run wild. Erections happen randomly all day and all night. And for many guys this is very embarrassing. The best thing you can do is just let him have his privacy around this.
If you want to know if he is interested in you, look for other signs, most people are pretty transparent if not direct.
It will happen all the time. it could be becasue of you but theres so many other reasons. Sometimes it doesnt happen for any reason at all. don't worry about, its just a guy thing
He is sexually attracted by you. It is normal, at his age he can't really control his reactions. It is nice that he tried to hide it, at least you know that he's not that kind of guy who likes to show how "man" he think he is. By the way to talk, it seems like you might also be attracted by him somehow. Why don't you try again? talk to him again maybe in a more private place and see how he reacts..who knows..Spring...love is in the air....
Ummm.... First off, if he is going through puberty he will probably get random erections... from hormones, usually he won't get an erection by just talking to you, or looking at you, maybe if you were like in a swimsuit or something. Just ignore it, it is normal, if it is over you, then go out with him lol.
Well it could be over anything...if you notice it again when he sits next to you again then it probably over you but it could be over anything.....

You didn't say how old you are, but I'm going to assume, under twenty-one. O.K., dear let's make this simple.
Guys, boys at a certain age, can get an erection at anything or anywhere. If it's cold outside, because their favorite baseball team is winning, they got a new bike....so on and so forth.
Unfortunately, it is embarrassing for them and, and I've heard of some guys complaining, that it can be quite uncomfortable, physically.
I applaud the young man for attempting to be not make you feel uncomfortable about the situation and trying to save face for hisself. That shows character.
I WOULD NOT bring this to his attention! I wouldn't bring this to anyone's at school's attention. It would not be very nice, and you could loose a good friendship. It's not worth it.

Could be your feminine charms. Or not. Teenage boys have spontaneous erections all the time, just their hormones at work. And once they get aroused, the sensation of their penis pressing against their clothes tends to keep them aroused.
Why would you be grossed out? Do your nipples ever swell up on their own? Or do you ever lubricate for no apparent reason? Or an apparent one? Should a boy be "grossed out" if he knew?
